5 Day photography mentorship with Ray Bidegain

Ready to learn a new handmade photography or printmaking process? How about following up on your desire to take the next step in your journey as an artist making photographic objects. This 5 day mentorship is perfect for you and your growth. After a long conversation about what you would like your sessions to cover,  together we will make a plan and start scheduling. The pace is up to you and can included my help in getting things sorted so you can make work at home or in a studio using your new skills. I am well versed in the process of making photographic objects and navigating a life as an artist.

Some ideas for study:

  • film photography
  • Alt. process printmaking including, platinum printing, photogravure, Letterpress, Book Making
  • Meaningful photography with people, portraits, narrative portraits, nudes.
  • Landscape and architecture. 
  • Digital photography as it relates to the making of alt. process prints. 


My schedule is flexible and I can offer sessions weekdays as well as weekends. Once you have signed up for the session we can look at our calendars and choose dates to work together.

5 day mentorships can be used as consecutive days or one day at a time at the students desired pace. All equipment, darkroom and studio space along with instruction by Ray Bidegain are included. Materials and model fees are the responsibility of the student.

Do you offer private mentoring at this time

Yes, I am fully vaccinated and accepting students to my studio that are likewise vaccinated

Can we talk about a custom mentorship ?

Yes indeed, I often create workshops that are tailored to the needs and interests of my students, I am able to provide studies in all Alt process photography genres.

Can you mentor me in the making of photographs as well as the processes?

I will look forward to helping you find your way with making photographs of what ever your desire, I can help you do discover that same desire as well.

How about selling work?

Over the years I have explored many venues of commerce for my work and I will gladly share them with you as you decide what is best for your situation.
