The props in my photographs are almost always volunteers, and this time is no exception. The wind broke a few branches off a tree in my yard and I kept them around for a couple of summers. Later I arranged them in this sort of structure-like arch in a space where I was making photographs in those years. Kelsey, a traveling art model I like to collaborate with came by one summer day, put on a dress I had been given the week before and we made pictures.
