Inspired by this Japanese fishing float I found on the Oregon coast years ago I could not help but marvel at the journey this fragile object had made.
This hand-pulled polymer photogravure print is made with Charbonnel bone black and warm sepia inks on Rives BFK paper. I decided on a chine collé with Awagami Kitakata. and an edition of 10 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints.
Hand made by Ray Bidegain
6x 8 on an 11x15 sheet.
Signed numbers and dated by the artist on the lower front.
I am always impressed with the professional presentation of your prints.
This is one of my favorites. The tone is soft. The focus on the sphere makes it feel like she is holding a little world in her hand.
Love the warm tone Ray chose for this image. The gravure shows the typical meticulous care with which Ray practices his art.
