I spent time in Scotland in 2009, and 2011 on a dreamy commission I was lucky enough to receive. The landscape, culture, and surroundings were all new to me as this was the first time I traveled outside the US. I made this quiet landscape on one of my daily road trips through the countryside. I am taken back to this journey any time I see the work I made on these trips, I feel this is the beauty and strength of photography as an art medium.
This hand-pulled polymer photogravure print is made with Gamblin Portland Black, and sepia inks, on Rives BFK paper. I decided on an edition of 10 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints.
