Oh the possibilities

Oh the possibilities

Oh, the possibilities!

I feel lucky when I think of all of the possibilities in front of me. Most of the time, anyway. & why not? I have surrounded my studio with materials and tools of all sorts, and this is my job: to make pictures.

I have ongoing projects that keep me busy. Right now, I’ve an edition of books I am working to complete, including some platinum printing, which feels good. My drawing practice and the etching of copper plates is exciting and continues to challenge me, though I do struggle with what to draw sometimes. I have recently chosen to start working with a Leica M6 35mm film camera, and the freedom feels a bit like a rocket in my pocket. I love it.

All of this being said, some days I feel stuck. Not blocked exactly, but unable to dig in, so I revert to studio chores, cleaning and organizing and such.

My friends, the question I have for y’all is this: How do you move forward with your work on days when you just are not feeling it?

Be well,

Ray
